Why Most Boss Fights SUCK, and How To Fix Them

I explain how change affects games. As well as how people respond to change, and how we can better handle peoples responses through improving communication and better transparency. I look at few examples of it going poorly as well as it going well and explain a few specific examples of how to improve the handling of change.

//Site was insanely broken and only readable through the page reader that being said it breaks down who was most resistant to change based on position in a company. The main people who seem to take issues with change which is also true in the case of overwatch quick play hacked anecdotal evidence. The people who hate change the most are the people who are invested in the game or organization enough to care and be invested however not far enough up to have a say or input or knowledge as to why the changes are being made. This is show in the quick play hacked events via the players who seem to consider quick play an important test of skill but being to pussy to play comp and therefore don’t understand that the point of quick play is just to have some fun and fuck around. They also seem to blame their difficulty in adapting on the change itself being bad and not on their own personal failing or just plain bad luck. This is why when you look at top level players or higher level execs to continue drawing parallels they are more receptive to the change because they understand the point of it opposed to the others who don’t understand the reason and are therefore unreceptive despite the fact the change is overall beneficial to them. Especially the lack of knowledge is shown in the above reddit threads where people consider running to of the same hero to be a joke despite the fact that the supposed golden age of overwatch allowed you to have 6 of the same hero at the same time. People who don’t know or remember this immediately discount the change due to their lack of knowledge and understanding.

//Losing control over what we’re doing and the decision being made without input from those who are affected. Not sure what is happening or what will happen with the new system to deal with current problems that you know then future problems you don’t. All at once making changes without revealing them till the end. Changes that break current work orders and standard operations will cause problems. Feeling of losing what you invested into the old version. Because it is different you are not confident in your abilities to deal with future issues. Taking time to adapt to. Changes everything not just the minor systems that it may at first have changed. Issues with the previous thing that get made worse by the change. The change is just better and people don’t always like that they have spent so much time doing something that is ineffective.

//Change is a process not a single event. This article is in reference to personal adaption to change. Not seeing a problem with the current way of things working. Aware that there are problems but doesn’t want to make changes. Preparing to make changes. Action stage. Maintaining the new behavior. This mostly in reference to addiction and where forced change is applied but it can still be useful.

//The resistance to change is affected by the relationship held between the person affected and the person making the change. Having good communication and fair interactions with each person lower down will further improve the effect of change.

Disclosure: I use AI tools to critique my writing though I have not and will not use AI generation anywhere in my scripts without clear and obvious disclosure. All words are my own within them unless clearly stated otherwise. I started the practice of using AI to have consistent proof reading as I found that I often would find it easier to clarify points if I had someone spitting at them and challenging the statements. I use AI to do this. I use AI instead of my friends as I don't want to waste my friends time as well as I like to avoid ruining the video for my friends so I can receive honest feedback on the finished product.
