Throne of Glass
Establishes the state of the world but outside of establishing that Adarland, Ellywe, and Terrasan are the three major territories there isn’t much here though there are other former countries the territories of Fenhallow and Melisande however they are at least currently and for the state of the series essentially Adarland they are annexed stolen territory but they do nothing independent and both of the royals have bent the knee and concede control of their territory. This will be later explored in another book so I’ll leave it there.
Prison camps one towards Terrasan and the other in Ellywe
Ellywe massacre
Makes use of the term “hell” this will come to importance later
Establishes Wyrd Marks
First hints of Wyrd
Establishes the otherworldliness of the clock tower
Along with establishes the uses of Portals through Wyrd
Erilea is the northern continent or the entire planet it takes place on it's unclear and seems to change between books I’ll avoid using it but it would feel incomplete without addressing the term
Ten years ago all the nations fell starting with terrasen
Ten years ago magic was lost this happened right before the invasions
The Clock Tower was built for Dorians birth
The king leaves with a bunch of men that Chaol did not choose and comes back with them all dead
Elena speaking with Celeana
The in between worlds fighting
Establishes the main characters
Nameless Symbol seen but not stated what it means
Crown of Midnight
We find out about Wendlyn and the southern continent but more importantly discover the rules of the Wyrd or atleast the keys and gates; this is the single most important force in the Sarah J Maas books. The Wyrd Keys and Wyrd Gates
Wyrd is life itself Wyrd controls everything in all worlds not just within Erilea and this book even goes as far as to foreshadow the entire existence of other worlds and clarifies that Wyrd governs all the worlds not just this one.
Wyrd is what keeps the worlds separated its a form of force
Wyrd Gates are the ways to cross between worlds
Wyrd Keys are
First use of the Phrase Nameless is my price
Nameless symbol clarified
States the king was 20 when he found the first key the first anchor point we have for the conquests scale and timeframe as well as the kings age
The keys control everything they are pure power and when united are able to open the wyrd gates
Been at war with Wendlyn for 2 years
This is the book we find out that the Wyrd Keys were the reason for magic being gone ten years ago
The clock tower was built using the Wyrd Keys
Tested creation
Sending Aelin to Wendlyn starts the mobilization of the kings forces
Temporary portals can be opened using Wyrd Marks and some things can come through but most things can’t and it's really weird and confusing.
Its ambiguous just how many keys he has but if your paying attention its two thats made clear in later books but its two he is missing the final key
Gavin speaking with Dorian
The first hint that Nehemia is in cahoots with Elena is here
Clarifies the public record on what happened between Aelin
Reveals that Celeana is Aelin
Aelin’s father was the next ruler for Adarland after her uncle Orlon as he did not have a heir
Aelin’s mother was next of kin in the Mab line which was one of the three Fae ruling sisters
The Mab line are rulers within Wendlyn
Wesley Arobynn’s bodyguard was killed by Arobynn for killing Rowoke Farren and the other chuckle fuck (look up names later)
Creature from hell important for later
Valg are mentioned
Valg + Fae = Witch
First use of real magic
Iron stops magic
Killing a witch grants a necklace of scars similar to how ants will leave pheromones on what killed them
The Assassin's Blade
It takes place around 2 years prior to the state of throne of glass
We find out here about first red deserts and the state of lawlessness that allows for a full as 100s of students large silent assassins
Skulls bay ruled by Rolfe
Silent Assassins ran by the silent master but Ansel of Briarcliff holds sway over them
This book doesn't contain much of value as it's more just backstory for Celeana and I’m focusing on the world itself and its more general elements
We see the criminal under belly more so in this book then anywhere else in the series
With the pits and the crime lords who were long standing before a series of instability caused by Wesley killing them
Lysandra is established as this enemy of Aelin’s because she’s pitted against her by Arobynn
Ansel wants to regain the wastes and her lost lands
Suits construction
Large spider fuckers
Heir of Fire
Fae and there hierarchy
Demi Fae
Just clarify that Aelin is only 1/8th fae due to her great grandmother
Maeve in Dorannel a territory within Wedlyn
Maeve is hunting Aelin
Blood oaths
Evalin attempted to keep Aelin away from Maeve
We find out the creation of Wyverns
Establishes all the otherworlds thing that have entered and now exist in Wendlyn
The witches fight to regain the wastes
Witches destroyed there own home due to the crochan iron teeth divide
Full ring explanation
Establishes the collars
Establishes cadre
Establishes real magic
Burnouts are clarified
Carranam - the transfer of power between two people to allow for more access to magic
Queen of Shadows
Wyrd Hounds
Adarlan is ran by Valg
The king is Valg
The duke is Valg
The castle collapses and Dorian is crowned king
Immediately renounces his claim to all other territories not originally allocated to Adarlan
They feed on power, magic, and human souls not to dissimilar to the Asteri or ACORAT equivalent
Duke takes the crown now leaving two people claiming rule
Duke is Erawen
Duke and King went exploring into Morath the dukes land which held the Dark Lord Erawen
The king was held down by a ring that held the Valg
Magic returns
More of the underworld
Cadre
This world has wheelchairs
Empire of storms
Bane last remaining fighting force
Darrow convinced the remaining lords of Terresan excluding the Allsbrooks to prevent Aelin from ascending the throne
The gods were not of this world the gods came from another
The gods want to return to there world
By this point it's made clear they can speak directly with the dead
Witch mirrors gain their purpose
Manon is the merger of both blood lines
The Witches land is cursed to not grow only when the witches use it that is why the humans live there
We learn what nameless is my price really means
We learn what Elena lost for using the keys and it cost her mothers life to forage
The reason Terrasen was so powerful and prosperous was that the key was in the amulet of Orynth the entire time adding to there will to keep them powerful and keep the law of remaining to the borders for so long
The reason Aelin’s parents died was because they passed the amulet to Aelin its what kept her alive
We find out what it will take to create the lock the lock requires every bit of someone with the nameless blood that's why Aelin was so powerful
Everything was on borrowed time
Aelin had died on that riverbank but her body was made anew by the gods for the only chance of survival
Elide is the last of the Parrenth line to have not abdicated their position therefore she is the rightful Lady of the Parrenth but because of that Parrenth does not have a say in who is queen until she can speak with them
Theory about loss of magic which is basically what happened there are watch towers all over the continent 3 of them and they formed a spell to remove magic all three of them were built and 10 years prior we found that they were built
Dorian is 20ish by this point
The invasion of Terrasen happened 10 years ago and right before, during or immediately after that magic was lost.
He had gotten the keys at 20 which places the minimum timeline to the king being at minimum 40 but he had to ascend the throne which he hadn’t done by 20 as well as prepare so 45-50 is a reasonable estimate for how old the king is
Magic was outlawed and removed to prevent the Valg from being able to sniff out magic users. It was for protection to prevent well what happens in this book
Tower of Dawn
Maeve is not fae but in fact Valg
Maeve keeps her healers and fire casters close to control them to prevent them from uprising against her as well as using them against other Valg
Valg have mind altering powers
As well as shape shifting
Three brothers and ones wife being Maeve
Torre Casme
Healers were more powerful
The old Fae
The Fae who were once there disappeared into a rift between worlds IMPORTANT
Maeve arrived through a rift in the world
People who cross worlds are world walkers
The structures of the Khangate is that the person who leads is decided from all the children the Khang has with an heir always being listed in a hidden location only to be seen afterward any threats to the throne are either killed or made infertile
Multicultural
Inspired by mongols
Captures cities just through threatening to attack they get scared and try to capture it
Incorporated the pantheon on whatever civilizations/cities they captures
Tons of gods so many most forget the key days for most of them
Antica the capital
Rules all of the southern continent
The large Spiders are also Valg
Kingdom of Ash
The first direct connection between to the 2 series though it is technically possible it is not ACORAT but after the lore provided within Crescent City we can be relatively certain it is that world
Not using powers can drive someone insane but diving in deeper into those powers can allow for a more powerful strike
The king's name was never stated in fact it was never stated his name has never been revealed
Foraging of the lock
Everything is captured in Terresen but its capital and the seas behind it
Anielles rich af but ramshackle af full army spending
The desperate defense of Orynth is successful after Erawen and Maeve are killed in one of the most powerful moments in all of writing
The Kingsflame the flower that only blooms during the best of rulers blooms throughout Terrasen
The other worlds
We know from Crescent City three insane details and this partial speculation but most of this is heavily hinted at or outright confirmed depending on the details
It is implied that Valg might be a form of Asteri
Asteri went to many worlds
The Old Fae in the southern continent leaving 10000 years ago was likely to Crescent city (CHECK THIS) the wolf people in terresen may also have been part of the people disappeared to crescent city
While timelines I believe are intentionally kept vague in all the crossovers it seems clear that all the series happen at least within a year or two of each other due to Feyres Pregnancy in the Kingdom of Ash and Bryce meeting with them presumably after Feyres child is born due to the character growth from Nesta but the lack of presence from Elain implying there in the same time span between books that may be clarified in the ACORAT book.
The rebuilding process in the throne of glass is going to take a long time
The next book after the book presumed to be focused on Elain seems hinted at going between worlds. I believe it will focus on Crescent City mixing with Throne of Glass for a reason to be determined.
We also know in the most recent Entry of Crescent City that Wyrd still applies to all other worlds marking that despite the immediate connection between ACORAT and Crescent City. Throne of Glass has a much more direct impact and control. Wyrd itself may even be the afterlife in and of itself as it seems to be this tether between all worlds and was spoken about in Bone Quarter in Crescent City as well as perhaps being seen in the first book. Those are the primary details i've deduced from Crescent City

All words are my own within them unless clearly stated otherwise. I started the practice of using AI to have consistent proof reading as I found that I often would find it easier to clarify points if I had someone spitting at them and challenging the statements. I use AI to do this.
